Rack City — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what data Rack City ("the Service") collects when you launch it as a Discord Activity, how we use that data, and what rights you have over it.

1. What We Collect

When you launch Rack City, we receive the following from Discord:

While playing, we generate and store:

Game state: your data center layout, hardware, virtual currencies (in-game dollars and simulated coin balances), upgrades, staff, café stations, cosmetic choices, and player-entered text (your founder name and server-rack names — visible to other players on leaderboards).
Financial ledger (in-game): the nightly "receipt" of your fictional business — retained indefinitely so your stats page can chart your whole career.
Purchase entitlements: if you buy something through Discord's In-App Purchases, we store which SKU your account owns. Payment itself is processed entirely by Discord — we never receive your payment details (card numbers, billing address, etc.).
Aggregated analytics: server-wide totals (e.g. "players mined X today") used for game balance and operator dashboards.

We do NOT collect:

Your email address or phone number
Your real name (unless you choose to type it into a name field)
Your IP address (Discord proxies the connection; we never see your raw IP)
Your messages, voice, or any data from outside the Activity (other Discord servers, DMs, etc.)

2. How We Use Your Data

To run the game: save and restore your progress, render your character, place you on leaderboards shared with other players.
To balance the game: aggregated analytics inform tuning decisions (is mining overpaying, is the café underused).
To fix bugs and prevent abuse: we keep server logs (errors, suspicious activity patterns) for up to 30 days for debugging.

3. Where Your Data Lives

All persistent game data is stored in a database on a virtual private server (VPS) operated by the developer, located in the United States. We do NOT use any third-party analytics service, ad network, or tracking SDK.

The game's server fetches public cryptocurrency market prices from Coinbase's public API to flavor the in-game simulation. These requests are made by our server on its own behalf: no player data of any kind is sent to Coinbase (or any other third party). No real cryptocurrency is bought, sold, or held by the Service — the prices are display data for a fictional economy.

4. Data Retention

Game state and in-game ledger: retained indefinitely while you remain a player, so returning after a break restores your save.
Server logs: retained for up to 30 days, then deleted.
Purchase entitlements: retained for as long as your account exists (they prove what you own).
Aggregated analytics: retained indefinitely in non-identifying form.

5. Your Rights

You can:

Request a copy of your data: we will provide your saved game state in JSON form within 30 days of a request.
Request deletion: we will delete your saved game state and ledger within 30 days of a request. Aggregated analytics that no longer identify you may be retained. Note that deleting your save does not refund Discord purchases (see the Terms of Service).
Stop using the Service: simply close the Activity. No further data is collected after you exit.

To exercise any of these rights, email admin@fathitsonly.com and include your Discord username, or DM the developer through the official support Discord linked from the Activity.

6. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the Service, contact us and we will delete any data we have on them.

7. Sharing Your Data

We do not sell, rent, or trade your data to third parties. We share data only when required by law (e.g., a valid subpoena) or as necessary to operate the Service through Discord's platform (e.g., entitlement verification against Discord's API).

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices for storing and transmitting data: HTTPS/WSS for all network traffic and file-system-level access controls on the server. No method of electronic storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but commit to acting in good faith and notifying affected players within 7 days of any confirmed breach involving identifiable user data.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Significant changes affecting how we collect or use your data will be announced in the Activity itself and on the support Discord at least 7 days before they take effect.
